5 Phone Functions for Indonesian People
Jakarta - The phone is now a compulsory friend who could not escape from self Indonesian society. Based on Ericsson Consumer Lab exposure data, other than as a communication tool, mobile phones have other functions. What are they?
Located at the Sheraton Bandung in a media workshop by Ericsson, Friday (5/3/2010) evening, appearing as Visnu Sigh ConsumerLAB MUSEA Regional Manager Ericsson explains the results of their study.
“Based on our research in the year 2009, there were five phone functions in society. The phone is used to serve only as a communication tool, now also has changed,” he explained to ITGazine.
Visnu also explained that there are five phone functions for the Indonesian people, the following percentages:
1. Communication tools to stay connected with friends or family – 65%
2. Symbol of People Class – 44%
3. Supporting business – 49%
4. Modifier social boundaries – 36%
5. Tool stress reliever -36%
Exposure based on the data, use the phone as a communication tool has remained the number one reason, with the percentage of 65%.
Well, two interesting points here is the phone function as a symbol of social status with the percentage of 44%, followed by the function to change the social status in society, with the percentage of 36%. This is indeed a reality that happens in society.
Visnu also explained that the five things above, then the business potential of the mobile phone industry is still promising in the coming years. “10% increase from this sector, even the state can raise revenues by 1.2%,” he added.
