Apple News: Steve Jobs Resigns, Who the successor?

The figure behind the success of the iPhone and iPad which is also the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, finally completely withdraws from the post of CEO of Apple. Jobs has officially filed a letter of resignation.

Hospital Jobs seems to be the main reason for removing the skipper position in one of the largest IT companies. For as is known, Jobs recently had been ‘on leave’ from his work at Apple because of the need to undergo liver transplantation due to treatment of pancreatic cancer pain he suffered.

I always said if the day will come where I can no longer perform the duties and expectations as CEO of Apple, I would certainly tell you as the first. And now, that day has come,” Jobs wrote in his letter resign, quoted by Reuters on Thursday (25/08/2011).

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I still want to serve for Apple, if the board thinks it is still feasible, as chairman of the board, directors and employees of Apple,” he continued.



Apple’s next CEO position would be filled by Tim Cook, who previously served as Chief Operation Office Apple.
