DA GT240 DDR3 & DA GT240 DDR5 Two Graphic Cards Performance Dental Economics

Digital Alliance (DA) does have a lot of products with a full segmentation, starting from the top graphics card, medium, to the touch even economical price.

This time detikINET second chance to try out the graphics card vendors belongs the country, GeForce 1024M DDR5 Sonic GT240 and GeForce GT240  1024M DDR3.

The most striking difference in these two graphics card is located on the memory of being carried, Sonic version uses DDR5 memory and non-sonic version uses DDR3. How is performance?

Although the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) which carried identical, but both these products have the type and speed of a very different memory.

For the version of Sonic for example, a 1GB memory type DD5. Speed set for this memory was quite high, i.e., 1900Mhz, and GPU clock of 585MHz.

As for the DA GT240 using DDR3 memory, only to have the speed in the range of 800MHz and 575MHz GPU clock on.

Adrift far enough right? Until the test results through several benchmark application also shows the numbers too far adrift.

In 3D Mark 2006 for example, that carries DA GT240 DDR5 scored big numbers to 11,191 whereas the DDR3 version only get 9205.

Although the numbers achieved in the test application sistetis adrift far enough, but the two graphics cards are still felt good to play the game Resident Evil 5 class or Modern Warfare 2.

detikINET use these two graphics cards to play two games on the board at a resolution of 1920 X 180. Result, this product successfully run both games quite comfortably.

But unfortunately, the memory chip in this product is only allowed to open without extra cooling. DDR3 version may not really matter because the clock is still relatively small, but not for DDR5 version.

Running speed of 1900Mhz (3800MHz effective) to make this product is hot when used for some heavy applications such as gaming.

In addition to providing sufficient qualified performance, both graphics card also has a full port type. Starting from PRT D-Sub, DVI, to carry the High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI).

Priced with 120 USD price range for DA and GT240 DDR5 EUR 97 for a DDR3 version of this product is very friendly with pockets its users.

Only, it would be interesting if for DDR5 version of this product given the additional fan can reduce the heat in the memory.

Pros:
+ Good Performance
+ Price Friendly
+ Interface Complete

Disadvantages:
- Insufficient Cooling

Benchmark Results:
