About the Recovery Partition

The recovery partition is a space reserved on your hard disk drive used to restore the operating system, drivers, and utilities installed on your Eee PC at the factory. It’s containing the operating system (winXP home/ win 7) image complete with drivers and software at the beginning purchased.

How to Using the Recovery Partition:

  • Disable Boot Booster in BIOS setup before you perform system recovery from USB flash disk, external optical drive or hidden partition.
  • Press <F9> during boot up (requires a Recovery Partition so please don’t change your Hardisk Partition).
  • Click the check mark button to start the Eee PC 1005 HA system recovery.
  • The system starts system recovery automatically and follows the onscreen instructions to complete the recovery process.
  • The process maybe takes about 30 minutes so please insure that you not loosing power during the installation by fully charge the battery or using the adapter that plugged to Power supply.

The recovery partition is hidden so you cannot see it on windows explorer, but you can see it on the XP “administrative tools” at your current “Control Panel”. Please not to erase this partition for keeping the Operating system License and maintaining the recovery partition procedure.

  1. Recently saw your comment on my own blog and that’s how i came to know about your site. Each article I have read is very well written and to the point. I would also like to say, not only are the posts well written, but the design of your web-site is excellent. I was able to navigate from post to post and find what I was looking for with ease. Keep up the great work you are doing, and I will be back many times in the near future
