Intel Core i7 980X Xtreme Edition, scheduled to be available in the market from the end of next March 2010. Not only was present as the fastest processors, this product also became the most expensive in its class.

The new Core i7-980X Extreme Edition (codenamed “Gulftown“) is a six-core CPU that promises a whole new level of performance. Not unlike the previous series, Intel Core i7 980X still offers the standard features available in previous generations. For instance, Turbo Boost, Memory Controller, and features HyperThreading which makes as if this processor has 12 cores in it.
But who should be loved in this product is, besides the price is quite expensive, embedded memory controller on the Intel Core i7 980X Xtreme Edition will support up to 1066Mhz. Though some competitors products, AMD, has reached 1333MHz
